THE SPORTSMEN'S ACT.
S.2363-S.1335-S.1996
WHAT HAPPENED?

Where were all of the concerned wildlife activists to support the organized advocacy attempts to stop the devastating bill from passing?

There was action as far back as June 22.2013, and yet I just saw an urgent call to action posted on a wildlife blog for a call to action on July 7th, AFTER the bill had already been voted through.

So obviously, the organizations and the solo activists have a major disconnect when it comes to dissemination of time sensitive information, across the social media platforms of Twitter, Google+, and Facebook. Not all advocacy groups utilize all three online outlets, not all three are designed for cross platform sharing, not all advocacy blogs and web sites will allow for sharing on any of the the three networks.

It is imperative for activists to be aware of what is going on and take action on their own at a local level by knowing who their representatives are, and being in contact with them concerning issues such as this bill that affect our wildlife and wilderness.
This thing flew through with a vote of 82-12.

That's 82 in favor of opening up our public lands for sportsmen hunting free for all.
And 12 who opposed it.

Here are the 12 politicians who had a spine and a clear view of what the future should be for
our wilderness, and voted against the bills.

1.  Senator Richard Blumenthal
    Democrat ~ Connecticut
2.  Christopher Murphy
    Democrat ~ Connecticut
3.  Senator Dianne Feinstein
    California
4.  Senator Barbara Boxer
    California
5.  Bob Menendez
    New Jersey
6.  Cory Booker
    New Jersey
7.  Senator Jack Reed
    Rhode Island
8.  U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren
    Massachusetts
9.  Edward J. Markey
    Rhode Island
10. Mazie Hirono
    Hawaii
11. Senator Ben Cardin
    Maryland
12. Tom Coburn
    Republican ~ Oklahoma

Make sure they get your vote if they are running in a primary election in your state, if you think we should have been able to hike or camp in our national public wilderness without being at risk for being shot by a sportsmen's bullet whizzing overhead.

This is where the information for upcoming state Congressional primary elections will be:
